M&A and PE boutiques
What if the seller asks ChatGPT before calling an accountant?
An owner thinking about a sale often starts with a private question to an AI assistant. The answer draws on published deals, the financial press and league tables. A boutique with strong mandates and little public trace is absent from that first answer.
“Which boutique investment bank should sell a company with 20 million in revenue?”
- 1.Partners
- 2.& Associés
- 3.your firm?
We ask this question, and the variants owners use, to four engines. We record which advisers are named and on which sources.
Why the shortlist forms without you
- Deals close under confidentiality and are announced late, or never.
- League tables and trade press favour the banks that file every deal.
- Partner expertise by sector stays invisible outside the deal room.
What we build with you
- Deal pages for transactions the client has cleared for publication
- Sector notes signed by the partners, written for owners
- Relations with the financial and trade press, and league table submissions
- Entity and schema work for the firm, the partners and the sectors covered
- A list of owner questions we track, by sector and deal size
How we measure
Every month we run your buyer questions across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. We record your share of voice against 5 competitors you name. When a mandate comes in, we trace where the client first heard of you. We publish no result we have not measured.
What we will not do
- Disclose a deal, a valuation or a party before the client clears it.
- Publish content that could breach a confidentiality agreement.
- Promise that an engine will name your boutique. We measure whether it does.

Where to start
The free Scan asks 20 of these questions and shows whether you are named. If the gap is real, the Diagnostic maps it in depth and is deducted if you sign.
